I am a warm, engaged, and highly skilled African American psychoanalyst with over ten years of experience in transformative therapy in New York City. My training at the Blanton-Peale Institute and Counseling Center has equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of contemporary depth psychology and its spiritual dimensions.

My educational background and professional experience have prepared me to provide high-quality therapy:
Bachelor of Arts: English Literature from Davidson College, North Carolina.
Master of Divinity & Master of Philosophy of Religion: Union Theological Seminary, New York City.
Doctor of Philosophy in Systematic Theology: Earned in May 1998 from Union Theological Seminary, New York City.
Teaching Experience: Taught at Union Theological Seminary and New York Theological Seminary.
Leadership and Advocacy
My leadership roles and advocacy work have also shaped my approach to therapy:
Greenhope Services for Women, Inc.
Led this comprehensive alternative to incarceration drug rehabilitation program for women and their children from 1993 to December 31, 2013. This model program for woman-centered, women-only rehabilitation attracted national and international interest.
ATI Programs
Played a key role in forming some of the first alternative to incarceration (ATI) programs in the country. Co-founded the NY State ATI Coalition, which continues to reform antiquated and draconian drug laws both locally and nationally.
Personal Interests
Beyond my professional work, I engage in traditional African American art forms, enriching my life and connecting deeply with our cultural heritage.
